- Prerequisite: MATH 108 or equivalent. First in a threecourse sequence for engineering students and science or math majors with strong mathematics background. Study of Newton’s Laws, work and energy, gravitation of falling bodies, motion in a plane, momentum, rotation of a rigid body, elasticity, periodic motion, hydrostatics, fluids in motions, temperature, heat and energy, heat transfer, change of state and thermodynamic laws.
